“No Where But Alaska”, a quarterly newsletter for family and friends came into existence after taking a teaching job in Kodiak, Alaska. My uncle suggested I write a newsletter as he was enjoying the letters I would mass produce for family. The stories would range from nature stories, to job updates, to “life” on Kodiak: the town, the village and remote life. These newsletter were the first of regular writing for me, and they were often sent without having someone else edit. 

Below is a sample of one after I had lived here a while. After reading through it, you will find many of the “Only in Alaska” blurbs” that were always so much fun to write. Life on this island has never been dull.
